Borata Village Sidama, Ethiopia
Borata Village Sidama, Ethiopia
This is a low intervention washed coffee from Sidama, Ethiopia, produced by small consortium of farmers in the Boreta village organized around the Daye Bensa coffee company.
Flavor Profile
This is an excellent sweet coffee that is light-bodied, yet full of flavor. Our initial impressions after grinding was that this coffee would be floral and smooth, but once brewed in the cupping bowls, we were delighted by the balance of fruit and florals and how each flavor complemented the others. As we calibrated our palates, we agreed that Jasmine, Peach, Lime, Black Tea, and Blueberry were the dominant inherent flavors exhibited by this coffee. Initially, we sensed Jasmine, Lime and Black Tea, then as the coffee cooled slightly we identified Peach and Blueberry. This is a very delicious coffee and a real treat.
