Our Pitalito Peaks coffee is sourced from small family-owned farms in Colombia’s Huila region. Grown at high elevations, this Arabica coffee (Caturra variety) is meticulously processed to deliver a vibrant flavor profile with notes of apple, cherry, orange, brown sugar, and baker’s chocolate, complemented by a full-bodied mouthfeel. Certified organic and versatile, this coffee excels with all brewing methods and shines as an espresso. When pairing with milk, the chocolate and brown-sugar flavors are accentuated, enhancing the mouthfeel to a velvety finish.
Flavor Profile
When we cupped this organic specialty grade coffee we immediately sensed a full-body mouth feel, with cherry, orange, and baker's chocolate. On subsequent cuppings, we also sensed apple and brown sugar. The apple, cherry, orange flavors are readily discernible with lighter roasts. With darker roasts, the brown-sugar and baker's chocolate flavors become more dominant.
